Madison, Ind. - Royer Corporation announces it has acquired all rights to market the novel basketball board game, Spot-A-Shot TM. Royer Corp. has already began shipments to retailers, including some Wal-marts.
Spot-A-Shot TM has been created to satisfy demand for a board game based on the surging worldwide popularity of basketball. The game follows the basic rules of basketball. A unique pair of customized dice has been created to control player movement and scoring. The result is a game providing immense fun, fast pacing and competitive, close games.
For more than 25 years, Royer Corp. has been designing and manufacturing products for restaurants, resorts, and hotels throughout the world. The company has engaged a team of marketing production and design professionals to assist in preparing for the launch of Spot-A-Shot TM. A recently concluded test market confirmed exceptionally strong consumer interest and acceptance.
"Our interest was easily piqued. We live in Indiana, we are basketball crazy and Spot- A-Shot TM was addictive when we started to play," said Roger Williams, CEO of Royer Corporation. "We have heavily invested in talent, creativity and additional patents. The game will a staple in every home where basketball is played or watched," he added.
Royer Corp. is planning to market Spot-A-Shot TM internationally beginning in early 2005 and is also working on specialty versions of Spot-A-Shot TM.
Spot-A-Shot TM is the only game exhibited in the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. The game will be sold through gift, retail and website channels of distribution.
