
Alright Louisville, I know it's only a day after Christmas but there is still one more celebration before the year is over. It's time to leave the Christmas hangover/food coma behind and get in the New Year's Eve mood. All the musical stars come out for a great NYE party in Louisville and this year is no exception. Here is a solid list of concerts arranged by venue.
Louisville Palace
Jason Isbell and Shovels & Rope. $58.
Headliners Music Hall
WFPK holds its NYE celebration at Headliners and this year it's a James Brown Revue. The house band is Thirty Spokes and they will be joined on stage by Carly Johnson, Butch Rice, Skyscraper Stereo, and The Tunesmiths throughout the night. WFPK DJs Matt Anthony and Woodrow on the Radio will start spinning at 9 p.m. and live music starts at 10:30 p.m. 18+, $10 adv and $12 dos.
Zanzabar
Q: Are We Not Them? A: We Aren't Devo (Devo tribute band). This group is one part Scott Carney (also of Wax Fang) and three parts The Deloreans. 21+, 9 p.m., $10.
The New Vintage
Zach Longoria Project (and special guests) w/ Soundtrakno. 9 p.m., 21+, $10 adv and $15 dos.
Haymarket Whiskey Bar
Live music by Family Dog, Lady Pyramid, Ted Tyro, and Black Birds of Paradise. DJ sets by JaLin Roze, Peppermint Boys, Kindred DJs, and members of The Pass, White Reaper, and The Deloreans. Visual art will be provided by Spectra. The music is FREE but for $10 you can get champagne bottles, photos in Haymarket's new photo booth, and a midnight toast. Tim Faulkner Gallery

The Rudyard Kipling
