New Castle, Ky: Smith-Berry Winery's dinner and concert season continues
Saturday, Sept. 27, with the old time Kentucky folk sound of the John Harrod
& Kentucky Wild Horse Band.
Dinner will feature grilled butterfly pork chops and chicken breast, cheese
grits made with Kentucky's own Weisenberger grits, Roma beans braised with
garlic, vinaigrette coleslaw and homemade lemon bars, brownies, chocolate
chip and sugar cookies. As always, veggie burgers are available on request;
soft drinks are included.
The John Harrod & Kentucky Wild Horse Band takes its inspiration from
Kentucky music from the 19th century down to the present, especially its
fiddle and banjo traditions. Band leader Harrod has been awarded a
Governor's Award in the Arts for his work documenting Kentucky music.
Concerts are $19.95 plus tax with reservation; $25 plus tax at the door.
Smith Berry wine is available to purchase by the glass or bottle.
Dinner is served from 6 to 7 p.m. and the band plays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
