Announcing a FREE mini-retreat for grandmothers and elder women on May 8, 2010 from noon to 5pm at Black Acre Nature Preserve in Louisville, Kentucky.

This non-religious, women-only event is funded by a Kentucky Foundation for Women Art Meets Activism grant. The half-day retreat will empower and celebrate the passage of the participants into wise womanhood through storytelling, sharing, and art. The Rite of Passage will recognize the important time of physical and emotional changes that elder women experience and bless their way into wise womanhood with an empowering, supportive event.
