The exhibition is being held in honor of the 15th Annual Festival of Faiths, themed Sacred Soil: Foundation of Life, which runs from November 3 through November 9, 2010. The exhibit will feature the work of artists who have a strong connection to a particular place in time through the work that they produce. A variety of mediums will be showcased, including painting, ceramic sculpture, film, video, photography and mixed media works.
In conjunction with this exhibit, the Museum and the Festival of Faiths will co-present the film “The Real Dirt of Farmer John” as part of the Festival of Faiths’ film series on Sunday, November 7 at 8:30pm at The Henry Clay, located at 604 S. 3rd St. This film screening is free, however, donations will be accepted.
Participating artists include: Dylan Beck, Lynn Dunbar, Ana England, Annie Langan, Jawshing Arthur Liou, Jonathan Mess, Gregg Moore, Eamon O Neill, Henning Sandstrom, and Marilyn Whitesell.
