The 6th annual Lambert & Lindsey Citi Cards Request-A-Thon presented by Panera Bread to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Kentucky and Southern Indiana Region is planned for November 20 and 21. 102.3 The Max hopes to raise $150,000 to grant wishes of local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Teams are forming now and registration has never been easier. To register a team or individual, simply visit: makeawishky.kintera.org/2008RAT. “We hope that early registration will build the momentum we need for a successful event,” remarked Executive Director Mark Drennan. Over the past 5 years, 102.3 The Max listeners have raised $559,000 and granted 95 wishes. The Request-A-Thon kicks off at 6 a.m. on Thursday, November 20 and runs through 6 p.m. on Friday, November 21. Listeners can call (502) 571-WISH (9474) anytime to request a song of their choice in exchange for a gift of $15 or more. In addition to an entertaining music mix, there will be touching interviews with wish kids, families, volunteers and special guests. The event will benefit local kids like Addison, a 4 year-old battling Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. Addison adores Disney® princesses and the Disney Channel®. It was no surprise to wish volunteers that Addison dreamed of going to Disney World®. “Addison’s favorite part of the vacation was going to see the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” commented Shari, Addison’s mom. “Her eyes were big as saucers! We are so grateful to The Make-A-Wish Foundation® for this wonderful experience.” “I am grateful to 102.3 The Max for giving us the opportunity to share our story and to the listeners whose generosity enables us to provide lasting memories for our wish families,” remarked Drennan.
