Reader's Digest will be presenting a check to Louisville at the Mayor's Gallery in Louisville Metro Hall at 9:30AM on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. This is in conjunction with their RV Tour of the One Hundred Best Cities in America as part of the “WE HEAR YOU AMERICA” campaign that is going on until February 7th. This campaign helps provide funding to cities throughout the U.S. for municipal projects, based on how many “cheers” (or votes) that are received for each city. The Save the Hogan’s Fountain Pavilion in Cherokee Park group (www.tinyurl.com/SaveTheTeepee) has been cheering for Louisville for several weeks in an effort to get much-needed funding for the restoration of the “TeePee” pavilion at Cherokee Park. In addition to municipal funding, participants (who are encouraged to vote up to ten times each day) are eligible to win individual prizes, including cash, family vacations and a car! You can find more information at www.WeHearYouAmerica.readersdigest.com. No purchase is necessary to participate.
