Meet an eagle up close and personal at the Bernheim Education Center. Both Bald and Golden Eagles inhabit our region at this time of year and can be seen high in the sky or perched in tall trees at Bernheim. But this unique program, provided by Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky in partnership with Bernheim, offers you an eye level view of an American Bald Eagle, out of its cage and spreading its wings. This program will provide you with a new perspective and appreciation for this magnificent bird of prey.
In flight or at rest, the Bald Eagle is majestic. Esteemed naturalist, John Burroughs wrote "He draws great lines across the sky; he sees the hills and valleys as folds and wrinkles in a many colored tapestry; he sees the river as a silver belt connecting remote horizons."
Learn why birds of prey are relevant to your own survival and some surprising facts about eagles.
This program is appropriate for adults and children of all ages.
