Louisville, KY - Belkin Productions presents Queensryche live in concert at the Louisville Palace Theater on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 8:00 p.m.
Weathering the storms of the 80’s hair-band-era and the early 90’s alternative rock wave, Queensryche have established a cult following that has seen them climb in and out of the mainstream, only to continue to do things their way. Oddly enough, Queensryche hails from the small Seattle suburb of Bellevue, Washington and were formed in 1981 long before Nirvana and Sub Pop Records when Jimi Hendrix and Heart still held the mainstream torch in the Northwest. Queensryche’s peak came in the late 80’s and early 90’s with the albums Operation: Mindcrime (platinum 1988), Empire (double platinum1990), and Promised Land (platinum 1994). Queensryche consistently releases material that appeals to a loyal following of fans and is known for such hits as “Eyes of a Stranger,” “Jet City Woman,” “I am I,” “Bridge,” and the U.S. #5 single “Silent Lucidity.” Over the years Queensryche has toured with their own share of rock opera presentations that are a must for any live concert enthusiast. The latest Queensryche releases include 2003’s Tribe, the 2004 live release The Art of Live, and the forthcoming release Operation: Mindcrime II. Queensryche 2005 is: Geoff Tate, Mike Stone, Eddie Jackson, Michael Wilton and Scott Rockenfield.
