One of the nation's newest and most effective workouts has finally made its way to Louisville. Pure Barre is opening its newest location Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 1321 Herr Lane, Suite 180 in Lyndon.
Said to have a cult following among health-conscious women and celebrities, franchisees Karen Handel and Lucy Gentry are Pure Barre certified to help women with the areas they struggle with the most. Pure Barre creates the long, lean muscles of a dancer through small isometric movements centered around the ballet barre, lifting the seat, and toning the thighs and upper body. Pure Barre boasts body changing results in just 10 classes.
Pure Barre was created in 2001 by its CEO Carrie Rezabek, an accomplished dancer and choreographer, and its popularity has grown largely by word of mouth. Since branching out in 2009, franchisers have opened 45 Pure Barre locations nationwide.
Rezabek said in a statement about Louisville's new Pure Barre studio, "I'm thrilled that Karen and Lucy are bringing Pure Barre to the Louisville area and have no doubt women will experience the amazing results Pure Barre produces."
Pure Barre is different from other fitness classes, because class sizes are kept small so students get individualized attention with form, to maximize results. If you're interested in attending classes, or would like more information about Pure Barre Louisville, contact Karen or Lucy at 502-749-2222, email Louisville@PureBarre.com, or visit the website to book a class online or to shop for Pure Barre DVDs and other goodies. You can also connect with the studio through Facebook. Classes will fill up quickly, so if you're interested, contact the studio today.
Soon, I'll take to the barre myself. A review of the Pure Barre fitness trend sweeping the nation is coming soon.
