ST. MATTHEWS– The American Cancer Society Man to Man- Louisville prostate cancer group will learn about “Eat Healthy, Eat HEARTy" from Registered Dietitian, Anna Selle at their February meeting. Selle will discuss “Eating Healthy, Eating HEARTy” to enhance nutrition in a daily diet. The meeting will be Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m.-noon in the Baptist Hospital East second-floor Education Center, 4000 Kresge Way. Selle will talk about how to use up as many calories as you take in, how to eat a variety of nutritious foods such as, salads, vegetables, etc., and how to detect and eat fewer nutrient-poor foods such as, high sodium meals, refined sugars, etc. Man to Man meets the second Saturday of the month, from September through May, from 10 a.m.-noon. The meeting provides information about the disease, as well as treatment options. It is also a chance for men to share their experience and concerns with other men. Sessions begin with an educational lecture, followed by an informal group discussion. A group for spouses and significant others is conducted as a parallel session.
