Print-Altered Textiles will be will be taught by Meg Randall who worked as a print designer for 6 years in the corporate textile industry for names like West Elm, Martha Stewart and Abercrombie and Fitch. Students will spice up old clothing, pillowcases, placemats or other textile items by coming up with a new, interesting design, preparing a silkscreen, and printing the image onto fabric. Stenciling and drawing with fluid techniques for silkscreening will be explored, and blockprinted elements may be incorporated as well. Participants will bring old items and leave with fresh and fashionably designed products, as well as the screen.s
