Early Wagering On the Preakness Available During "Friday Happy Hours"

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 19, 2005) - A giveaway of a poster of Churchill Downs'
spectacular mural of Kentucky Derby winning jockeys created by Daily Racing
Form artist Pierre "PEB" Bellocq will share top-billing with wagering on the
simulcast of the Preakness, the second jewel of the Visa Triple Crown, on
    Saturday at Churchill Downs.

The mural by PEB, which is 36 feet long and five feet high and
includes colorful portraits of the 96 jockeys who won the first 130 runnings
of the Kentucky Derby, is located on the second floor of the track's new
clubhouse.  The poster of PEB's mural is four feet wide and ten inches tall
and is printed on high quality lithograph paper.  It is sure to immediately
become a prized Kentucky Derby collectible and a great addition to the wall
    of any home or office.

Vouchers for a PEB Mural Poster will be given to patrons with paid
and pre-paid admission only while supplies last.  The posters may be picked
up at the track's redemption center near Gate 10 after Saturday's fourth
    race.

Churchill Downs will offer a 10-race program on Saturday that is
headlined by the second running of the $100,000 Open Mind Stakes and the
simulcast of Kentucky Derby winner Giacomo's bid to take the Preakness at
    Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.
Post time for the first race is 1:15 p.m. (all times EDT) and admission
gates will open at 11 a.m.  Post time for the Preakness is scheduled for
    6:14 p.m.

Preliminary wagering on the Preakness will be offered at Churchill
Downs on Friday during the track's weekly "Friday Happy Hours" promotion.
Post time for the first of Friday's 10 races is 2:45 p.m.  Enjoy special
$1.50 prices on beer and hot dogs from 4-7 p.m. each Friday.  Admission
gates open at 11:30 a.m. for patrons of the simulcast teletheatre on the
second floor of the new clubhouse.  Admission for live racing and the
