    The Louisville Metro Police Department advises Thunder patrons to plan ahead when determining a parking strategy for Thunder Over Louisville. Park as far away as you can comfortably walk and plan on parking in areas that will get you headed in the direction of town you int/files/storyimages/to go. Follow the maps at www.louisvilleky.gov/metropolice when planning your parking location.










    In Downtown Louisville, there are more than 52,000 public parking, off-street spaces within a 10-block walk to the River. Listed below are some of those sites.

    • Entire event area at street level is accessible/no designated viewing areas.
    • Disabled parking in all area PARC garages and under the Clark/Memorial Bridge in Jeffersonville on first-come/first-served basis

    FREE Thunder Bike Parking


    If you plan to ride your bike to Thunder Over Louisville, free bike parking is available. Just ride to the northeast corner of Witherspoon Street and Preston Street across from Slugger Field. The bicycle parking facility will open at Noon. the day of Thunder and remain open until all bicycles are retrieved after the /files/storyimages/of the fireworks display.
