More than 200 Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operating Iraqi Freedom (OIF) veterans and their families are expected to gather Saturday at the Louisville Zoo to enjoy a very special fun-filled family event. The Louisville VA Medical Center is sponsoring the first annual “OEF/OIF Welcome Home Event”. Louisville area OEF/OIF veterans, who have returned home since January 2007 and their families, will enjoy free admission to the zoo, buffet lunch, health care services and benefits information, live entertainment, children activities, and an official program designed to celebrate their return.
