Equine Therapy Program to Hold Open House
Free Event Offers Inside Look at Unique Counseling Method

Opening Gates, an equine-therapy, mental health counseling and learning service, invites interested parties to its open house event on Thursday, June 25, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The facility is located at Hunters Brook Farm, 5006 Charlestown Pike, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. Admission is free.

Known for its experienced horse specialists, Opening Gates offers the Southern Indiana and Louisville area a unique method for dealing with children, adolescents, adults and families dealing with mental-health issues. Shara Wiesenauer, owner of the non-profit organization, is a licensed mental-health counselor and has a life-time of equine experience.

“We want everyone who wants to learn more about what equine therapy can offer to come visit us,” says Wiesenauer. “We’ve seen the positive results our horse-based workshops can have on our clients and their families and we know there are many others who could benefit from our services.”
