Please mark your calendars and join your Old Louisville neighbors on Saturday, Jun 12, 2010 as the Toonerville Trolley Neighborhood Association brings you the first “Fort George Summer Movie Series” event to help raise much-needed funds for the Old Louisville Dog Park!
A large screen will be erected in the beautiful, tree lined lawn of Fort George (1260 S Floyd Street) for the presentation of two classic (in their own way) films!
* “The Adventures of Milo and Otis”… something everyone can enjoy and in keeping with the “dog park” theme!
* John Water’s cult classic, “Polyester”… Not necessarily a movie for the kiddies, but watching the comic demise of Francine Fishpaw on a late summer night with good friends and neighbors is always a great time!
Gates open at 7:30 with the first film starting around 8:30.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, picnic baskets, coolers, etc. Burgers, hot dogs, etc. will also be available for sale.
Additionally, Kristin Furnish is coordinating a bake sale for that evening and is looking for more bakers to participate! If you are interested in donating time, cookies, brownies, or other sweets (or savory baked items too) please contact her at 502-592-6939 or adelefur@bellsouth.net
So… Please plan on supporting this fantastic cause that benefits all of Old Louisville while enjoying two wonderful movies with your friends and neighbors in this local oasis!
If you have questions – or cannot attend but would like to make a donation – please contact Jodi Bessinger (jodibessinger@bellsouth.net) or Dan Mason (dan@danielcmason.com).
