This workshop for teens involves combining oil pastels with drawing other media to give talented high school students a broader range for artistic exploration. This is a class about using color as an independent language freed from the constrictions of realistic imagery. Ms. Gorsen has been an Artist in Residence in more than 50 regional schools and thoroughly enjoys teaching and collaborating with young people. Pre-registration required and payment of materials fee of $14.50 must be made by December 18. Registration confirmed ONLY after payment in full. Each participant will receive a set of materials to keep. Limited to 12 teens and must be high school freshmen-seniors.
