Take a waltz on the lighter side with NightLites! On Thursday, November 4 at 6:30pm, Principal Pops Conductor Bob Bernhardt explores Vienna for the Louisville Orchestra’s first NightLites concert of the season at the Brown Theatre. Can’t make the Thursday performance? No worries, there will be a repeat performance on Saturday, September 6, at the Ogle Center at Indiana University Southeast at 7:30pm. With a fast tempo and a quick step, the pace of the Viennese Waltz lends itself beautifully to orchestral music with Lanner and Strauss setting the standard. Maestro Bernhardt leads you through the Waltz’s beginnings as a dance of great controversy to its elegant reputation in the storied palaces of Europe.
