Louisville, Kentucky may seem like an unlikely place to find America's largest Victorian neighborhood. But a new documentary supporting that fact will be premiered October 11, 2007.
Produced by Michael Breeding MEDIA, this thirty-minute program is a fascinating look at just a few of the 1,400 homes in the forty- eight block Old Louisville area, which is also the third largest Preservation District in the US. Along with amazing views of some exteriors of the homes, it provides intimate glimpses of the interiors of several private treasures. The documentary is already scheduled to be released via satellite to
342 PBS affiliates nation-wide.
The Speed Art Museum will be hosting the premiere, with the showing at 6:15 pm sharp. Reservations are required due to limited seating, and can be made by calling or visiting the Old Louisville Visitors Center, 218 West Oak Street, 502-637-2922, or by sending email to info@oldlouisvillechamber.com. The DVD will also become available at the Center starting October 12th.
This program was produced in cooperation with the Kentucky Department of Tourism.
