“Nation in Crisis: A History of the Civil Rights Movement” brings to light how race relations of the past still relate to the present day and allows both children and adults to learn about segregation. Keith McGill mixes discussion and performance in this interactive production that allows people to witness key events in the civil rights era. Dan Welch, Outreach Director of Walden Theatre, has developed a number of innovative offerings for the theatre’s school-based Outreach Program. “Nation in Crisis” has been performed in over 40 schools in Kentucky and Indiana and attended by over 8,000 students.
