Napa River Grill, known for great wine and food, will celebrate the great accomplishment of two of Kentucky’s own wine experts on Thursday, November 19 at 7 p.m. Scott Harper of Bristol Bar and Grille and Brett Davis of Vintner Select have earned the title of Master Sommelier, a feat less than 200 people in the world have conquered. They are also the first two in the state of Kentucky. The two have paired the menu with exquisite and rare choices usually found only on special occasions such as this. The cost for the evening is $150 per person and includes five decadent courses prepared by chef David Malthaner and wine pairings. Tax and gratuity are additional. Scott Harper is managing partner, general manager of the Jeffersonville, Indiana location as well as corporate wine and beverage director and master sommelier, overseeing the award-winning wine programs for all five Bristol Bar and Grille locations.
Brett Davis is a master sommelier and sales manager for fine wine importer and distributor Vintner Select of Mason, Ohio. Based out of Louisville Ky., Brett works with multiple restaurants and retailers throughout the three-state region of Ohio, Ind., and Ky. on their beverage programs and staff education.
Napa River Grill is located in Westport Village at 1211 Herr Lane and is open seven days a week for dinner. Lunch is available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Happy hours are 4:30 to 7 p.m. daily in the lounge area only.
