For those that don’t know, Forecastle is a big buck. Attendants are now playing $184.50 for a weekend ticket and $84.50 for a one day ticket. It’s a big festival with some big names, but, damn, it will set you back. Poorcastle solves your problem. As you can tell by the name, it’s a response to Forecastle that won’t tear a hole in your wallet. Poorcastle only costs five dollars.
This year Poorcastle is expanding to two days in its second year at its home on the lot at Apocalypse BrewWorks (1612 Mellwood Ave). It will take place on July 12-13 with doors opening at noon and music starting at 1 p.m. both days. The bands, brews, and food are local. Here’s the full schedule:
