Carmichael's, Heine Brothers Coffee, and Kentuckians for the Commonwealth are throwing a party to raise funds to help save eastern Kentucky's landscape and publicize the ongoing devastating practice of mountaintop removal mining (MTR). We'll close Longest Avenue at Bardstown Road for the Louisville Loves Mountains Festival featuring keynote speaker Silas House, authors Erik Reece and Jason Howard, and dozens of local musicians. The event will begin at 4pm with musical performances on the patio. Silas House will speak at 7pm with a book signing to follow. BBC will offer its fine local brews and Ramsi's will cook up a diverse menu of delicious items.
