Mark’s Feed Store redefines the meaning of competition this fall with the “Back to School Wing Eating Contest.” Held on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m., the contest will feature a variety of Middletown principals and school representatives, trying to eat their way to the top for the pride of their school. The contest will take place at the Mark’s Feed Store in Middletown, located at 11422 Shelbyville Road. Middletown schools who have signed on include Hite Elementary, Eastern High School and Middletown Elementary.
The rules are simple: the first participant to eat 30 wings within 10 minutes wins! If no contestant is able to eat 30 wings after 10 minutes, the person who ate the most wings will win. The winner will receive a party for 30 people at their school, which will include a sandwich, a side, and a drink for each guest, along with bragging rights for a whole year!
Charity vouchers will also be given out to all participating schools. Redeemable on the day of the event, anyone who brings in the voucher will have 15% of their food and drink purchase donated back to their school. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a meal while helping to increase your schools funds for the upcoming year.
“Having been a Louisville tradition since 1988, here at Mark’s we know how important community is,” claims Mark’s Feed Store owner Mark Erwin. “Our ‘Back to School Wing Eating Contest’ is a fun opportunity for us to spend quality time with our neighbors and celebrate school spirit.”
