    Celebrate Mardi Gras as Fourth Street Live! presents “Mardi Gras Mayhem”.  On February 16th and 17th, Fourth Street Live! brings Bourbon Street to downtown Louisville with a free, city-wide celebration.   “Mardi Gras Mayhem” will feature a parade, live music, Cajun-style food and more fun than you can throw a bunch of beads at!


                “Mardi Gras Mayhem” kicks off on Friday, February 16th with a parade through downtown Louisville beginning at the intersection of Fourth Street and River Road.  The parade starts at 6:00 p.m. and will include approximately 30 floats, with units representing the Louisville Fire, Kosair Shriners, the Blues Brothers, Baxter Ave. Morgue’s “Day of the Dead Krewe” and more.  Prior to the parade, entertainment will be featured on the parade route by area dance companies.  Following the parade, rock the night away at Fourth Street Live! with jazz and blues performances by the West Market Street Stompers and King Sonic beginning at 8:00 p.m.       


                Additionally, the first 5,000 party-goers at Fourth Street Live! will receive their own Mardi Gras beads, and select Fourth Street Live! establishments will feature Cajun-style food, drink specials, and the world’s most dynamic wandering Dixieland band.   

    Friday, February 16


    6:00 PM – “Mardi Gras Mayhem” parade beginning on Fourth Street at River Road, continuing south to Guthrie.
    8:00 PM – Performances by the West Market Street Stompers and King Sonic.


    Saturday, February 17
    7:30 PM – Performances by The Rascals of Ragtime and Da Mudcats.


    Parking is conveniently located at the Galleria Garage on Fifth Street between Muhammad Ali and Liberty (free after 6:00 pm).  Additional parking is offered at the Seelbach Garage and the Hyatt Garage.
