MAN TO MAN SUPPORT GROUP TO LEARN ABOUT REDUCING STRESS
ST. MATTHEWS –The American Cancer Society Man to Man-Louisville prostate cancer support group will learn about “How to Lighten Your Stress Load” at its next meeting, Saturday, Jan. 9 from
10 a.m. to noon.
Chaplain Jim Ivey will talk about how stress can be harmful to the body and ways to properly manage stress. The talk will be in the Baptist Hospital East Education center, classrooms A and B, 4000 Kresge Way.
Man to Man meets the second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.-noon, with a break from May to September. The meeting provides information about prostate cancer, as well as treatment options. It is also a chance for men to share their experience and concerns with other men. Sessions begin with an educational lecture, followed by an informal group discussion. A group for spouses and significant others is conducted as a parallel session.
The support group, sponsored by Baptist Hospital East and the American Cancer Society, is free. For more information, call the Baptist East Information Center at (502) 897-8131.
