Artist Joanne Weis, who is one of the 2011 Form, Not Function jurors, will speak about “Finding your Voice as an Artist.” This presentation and discussion will seek to answer four questions: 1. How do you find meaningful ideas and images? 2. How do you make these concepts tangible through the design process? 3. Where do tools and techniques fit into your process in order to support rather than dictate your art? 4. How do you define and produce art that is "good" and "feels right"? Joanne will share some of her own experiences as an artist and this program is open to all—artists and art appreciators alike! Free and open to the public, pre-registration required (812) 944-7336. Bring a lunch, drinks are provided. Sponsored by the Carnegie Center, Inc.
