Shopping Guide
For those of you who are coming up short on ideas, we’re here to help you. We’ve come up with some ideas for those who don’t have a lot of time to put a lot of thought into a gift, but want to make it seem so:
1. Gift certificate to a spa. You can’t go wrong with this one. With many local spas including Z’s, Light Touch & Oasis- your sweetheart will love this idea as it is thoughtful and has a personal touch.
2. Looking for flowers? Brightside’s Four Roses Flower Hour can make the process much easier. It’s the best way to do your Valentine’s shopping while sampling award-winning bourbons during a special after-hours event at Nanz & Kraft Florist. Minimum $5 donation at the door benefits Brightside and includes premium bourbon samplings and hors d’oeuvres on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 6-8 p.m.
3. Love letter and a picture. It’s easy enough- put your feelings into words. And, make those words mean even more with a picture. Print out a picture of the two of you and find a special frame. It’s one-stop shopping and is impressive as it is thoughtful!
Take a trip to a museum. With great places like Muhammad Ali Center, the Louisville Slugger Museum, Derby Museum and Glassworks to mention a few, it’s a fun way to sp/files/storyimages/time together.
Paint your own pottery. Get your creative side out and about while enjoying an easy-going activity with your loved one. For creative types or those with two left thumbs, it’s a great chance to see if you have a future as an artist!
IMAX Movie. Use Valentine’s Day as a reason to explore! With daily showings of feature stories like Mummies, the Tour De France and sea adventures, it’s the best way to be brave without leaving your seat!
