A freelance writer who contributed to Louisville.com from May 2011 through this morning copied previously published text from an article in The Highlander in one of his recent posts. He also used a copyrighted photograph that Louisville.com did not have permission to use.
That behavior violates our polices. We have unpublished the article, ended our relationship with the freelancer and publicly apologize to The Highlander, its writers, any other affected outlets and our readers.
Louisville.com is committed to ethical journalism. If you notice anything that seems to be the contrary, please contact me, this site's editor-in-chief, at zach@louisville.com or 502-526-5217.
