The Palace was full of energy and the lines were out the door as fans eagerly filed in to see the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Joe Walsh. However, everyone would have to wait just a little longer for their headliner, as JD & The Straight Shot stepped on stage first to open the show. Coming off their spring tour with Jewel, JD & The Straight Shot were at their best, finishing a great set with a groovy mix of classic 70s favorites.

When Joe Walsh finally took the stage, the energy was electric. The former Eagle was joined for his “Walsh Toor” by drummer Joe Vitale, Chad Cromwell, guitarist Waddy Wachtel, bassist Larry Young, keyboardist Jimmy Wallace and DJ Clayton Janes, along with several background vocalists. Walsh opened up with some great covers, including Sly and the Family Stone's "Everyday People." Walsh said that although the latter had not been in the original set, but that given the times we're in, "We decided that it needed to be in the show."

If you were an Eagles fan at the Palace that night, you were in for a real treat. Walsh rocked "Take it to the Limit" and closed his set with "Life in the Fast Lane." However, the crowd went really wild for was "Life's Been Good," demanding an encore, which Walsh satisfied with an energetic round of "Rocky Mountain Way."

Life has been good to Joe, and if you're a Joe Walsh fan, life was very good to you Sunday night. We're already looking forward to the legend's next stop in Louisville.
