The Greater Louisville Auto Dealership Association would like to invite you to the 23rd Annual Louisville Auto Show, where over 60 Louisville area Auto Dealerships will display the NEW 2006 models the West Wing of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center .
This is your chance to see the latest inovations of the worlds top automoblie manufacturers.
In May 1984 the first annual Louisville New Car Show was “sold”. The show premiered at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center. The show housed everything that a consumer would need to aid in making a decision to purchase a new vehicle.
The show allowed the public to check out every price, pay plan and credit option .You name it and it was under the roof of the East Wing of KFEC. There were Banks and Credit Unions on site for on-the-spot financing, dozens of “closing booths” for privacy in processing paper work. And just in case that car of your dreams was not in the right color or there was an option missing each dealer had a holding area outside full of reserve vehicles plus another holding area outside of trade-ins.
Then added to all those logistics and holding areas are service and equipment: fax machines, computers, copiers, phones, furniture, landscaping and floral arrangements, cleaning services, engine cutaways and displays, concept vehicles-all this just so the public could come out on a week/files/storyimages/to look at or for a new car from all the cars available in this market.
What a great concept! John Q. Public could wander around and simply look- within the safety of crowds he could bl/files/storyimages/into if he didn’t want to buy or be bothered by salesmen. But if THE one perfect car, truck or SUV with all of the right options and the perfect color finds him, it’s for sale. And not just at one dealership, but all of the local dealerships are on hand giving you the ability to walk 8ft and check out the competition’s price. Or perhaps he can walk 12, 15 or 20 feet to an entirely different Line and investigate the technology, options and pricing of something he has never considered or even noticed before.
What began as the perfect concept 20 years ago with a 5-day event has now evolved into a 3-day Show. The Show is constantly developing and growing, it’s never finished. It never will be. Each year it has to reflect the times, a new theme, new contest, new draws. And at a certain point each year the Dealers and their salespeople begin frantically ordering the latest in everything from vehicle inventory to furniture- and all the necessities from electrical outlets to golf carts. Because the Louisville New Car Show is the place to be!
