Historic Locust Grove will hold a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, October 11th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Consider volunteering at Historic Locust Grove, a National Historic Landmark and join more than 140 individuals who are enthusiastic about history, people, and this beautiful site! Volunteering at Locust Grove involves all ages, all interests, varied time commitments, not to mention fun and lasting friendships. At this free event, learn from our volunteers about being a docent; visitor center volunteer; re-enactor & costumed interpreter; craft sampler volunteer; school group volunteer; garden volunteer and a special event volunteer at our many events, ie Gardener’s Fair, Summer Camps, Book Sale, Antiques Market/Appraisal Day, 18th Century Market Fair; Candlelight Tours; Encampment; Hospitality & Baking. Come anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. For more information, call 897-9845 or visit our website at www.locustgrove.org.
