We all got into horses because of a dream... to ride as one, to have a special friend, or to win, to excel, and to find a part of ourselves that is brought out when we are with our horse.

Unfortunately for most people the dream is never realized: What happened? Why do we have so many problems and frustrations? Why do people keep having to sell horses? Why is there so much resistance? Why are strong bits and artificial aids so prevalent?

What is covered in this 2-day seminar?

Words cannot describe, because so little of this is witnessed in the horse world today. Confidence, joy, fun, excellence, performance, answers to problems... in fact an absence of problems...! It doesn't matter what you want to "do" with horses, you need to have the horse WANT to do it WITH you.

    • You'll see horses responding to people in a way most thought were just fairy tales.

    • You'll experience the feelings people have for their horses... not frustration, not anger or fear but true enjoyment in the partnership.

    • See new horses, those that have never been exposed to the Parelli approach before.

    • See them come in unconfident, scared, disrespectful, pushy, dangerous or arrogant... and watch the changes in just one session.

    • Witness extraordinary horsemanship with Pat and his top horses, even his most challenging horses. Pat makes no pretences about the most challenging horses he's ever encountered and he shows them to you, his triumphs and his difficulties.

    • Learn about how to develop your own horse, how to ride like you are truly one with your horse... and how to continue and get even more results at home. This is not about what we can do, it's about what we can help you to do, to realize your dream with your horse.

I'm a competitive rider: Western / English. What would I get out of this seminar?

Some of the biggest problems experienced by competitors are when their horses resist, fight, dull out or give up. What are the reasons? How can that be changed?

Pat Parelli's advice on training horses is being sought by everyone from novice riders to Olympians and World Champions in both English and Western disciplines all over the world. What they are fascinated by is how the horse's mind works, how both common and extreme behavioral problems can be solved quickly and what strategies can be employed to keep horses interested and exuberant.

I've been to other Parelli Seminars, what's different in 2005?

If you've been around Pat and Linda before, you'll know that no two seminars are ever the same! This is not a rehearsed "act." The 2005 Tour is a whole new program, it starts where the Love, Language, Leadership seminar left off... in fact, Pat and Linda ride in as they left after the Liberty Duel!

What you need to see is how this continues... Pat challenging Linda, on the ground, at liberty, riding.... if you saw it last year, you know this will have you on the edge of your seat. And if you're bringing guests who've never seen the Parelli phenomena at work, they'll get the essence of what it's all about in those first moments. It's awesome... how on earth do they get those horses to do that? Are they a special breed or type or temperament? Will this work with all horses, even theirs?

Why is it a 2-day seminar? What will I miss if I only do one of the days?

The two days are a journey through many different facets of horsemanship; it starts at A and finishes at Z!

It's designed to be a total experience, to answer a thousand questions in the horse owner's mind. To att/files/storyimages/just one day will leave it a bit incomplete, but there is still a lot that will be revealed no matter when you enter it. Even if you only attended one session, there will be avenues opened up that may totally change your results and thinking around horses.

    Who are Pat and Linda?

Pat Parelli is currently the most influential horseman and teacher in the world today. Publicly acknowledging his teachers (Troy Henry, Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt, among others listed in his Western Horseman book), Pat has been able to both verbalize and systemize a learning system that is developing horsemanship skills in people usually reserved for the very gifted.

What Pat has is a way of explaining the unexplainable, of turning complex ideas into simple truths that can be learned and duplicated. Pat?s system teaches people to think so they can individualize results in all kinds of horses and situations... it's a system without a doctrine.

To watch Pat in action is to be put in touch with our dream, to know that what it was we dreamed of is in fact... reachable. It's possible. All that was missing was the path, the instructions.

Linda is Pat Parelli's wife and one of his most ardent and closest students. She began with Pat's system in 1989, a frustrated horse owner with a Thoroughbred that was way too much horse for her.

After several urgings to sell the horse, to give up on him, it was sheer providence that she turned to a cowboy named Pat Parelli... especially given that she was an English rider! Not only did the seminar transform her and her horse, within a year she was promoting his tours in Australia and helping him to develop a program that would help people to truly understand his message and progress along a pathway that would help anyone achieve results beyond their dreams.

No matter who you are, what you can afford, what your dreams, talents or aspirations... the Parelli program fills in the gaps, poses questions and creates pathways for success.

When you watch Linda with her horses you get ideas about what it is a student can do. You don't have to be Pat, you don't even have to be 6'2". You don't need to ride western, it's not about costume or discipline. You don't even need talent. It's about you, your horse, your dream... and how to reach it.

Today, Linda is one of Pat's top instructors and has even developed new areas to help riders learn how to become part of their horse. As she puts it, "I'm translating what Pat means, what he does and demonstrates when he says 'all you have to do is ride excellently, and stay out of the horse's way'. It's a great concept, but we still need more words, we need to know what exactly that means!"

I'm in the Parelli Savvy Club... what's special for me?

The Savvy Club is a way for Pat and Linda to give inspiration and information every month. We know what it's like to be out there on your own, trying to learn, battling the opposition who don't understand why you're suddenly doing things differently.

We also know you have questions that need answers. The Savvy Club is for dedicated learners, for people who want to keep improving in some way and that's why we know you're going to want to be at every event within a few hundred miles of your home (and even further!).

First of all, no two seminars are ever alike. The horses, the lessons, the people...it always throws in new angles! Our tour program is completely different from the last.

Secondly, we have special privileges for Savvy Club Members, things like free entry, free tickets*(5 additional free tickets for your friends!*) and the really big prizes in the drawings are reserved for the Savvy Club... like courses at the Pat Parelli Centers!

    *What you have to do:
    1) Log on to the Parelli Online Shop. (If this is your first time, you will have to make a new account. Make sure that you use the same e-mail address as your Savvy Club e-mail otherwise it won?t recognize you as a Savvy Club member.)

    2) Click on the link that says "Tickets" and follow the same steps as if you were purchasing tickets. In the /files/storyimages/your balance will be zero and your FREE tickets will be sent by mail.
