The Little Sisters of the Poor have provided over 170 years of caring service to the aged poor throughout the world, regardless of race, creed or national origin. They have served over 6,400 needy elderly persons in Louisville since 1869. At St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged, the Residents are provided quality physical and spiritual care in an atmosphere of respect and dignity for each person. The Little Sisters of the Poor also operate a 26-unit apartment building for low-income seniors and a Senior Day Center that serves the wider community.
