When the Forecastle Festival took flight on the Belvedere last summer, I was in the middle of a grueling dodgeball league that prevented me from attending at all - even to see my beloved Black Crowes. Lame, I know, but I'm a dedicated team mate. Seems as if time flies because the Halfway to Forecastle festival is set and ready to roll on January 23.
The event features all electronic music and will be the first concert event hosted at The Electric Blue warehouse facility, a 20,000 square foot behemoth at 835 East Main (Main between Shelby and Campbell streets).
Tons of hipster stuff will ensue. Here's a list of bands:
Kid Sister
LA Riots
Trash Yourself (DJ set)
Jesse Jamz
Lady Foursquare
Kid Color
DJ Amtrak
OK DeeJays
The Disco Aliens
Jason Clark (of SKL)
Sam Gracie
Laylow
Advance tickets are available at ear x-tacy or online at www.etix.com. Two of these "halfway" shows have sold out so if you're interested, hop in now.
