This class will focus on the potential that the local landscape offers for visual expression in paint. You will receive instruction in linear and atmospheric perspective; long and short depth of field; light, color, time of day and season; and the horizon--water, sky and ground. Through the use of photographic references and on-site study, you will work to produce a small number of paintings that successfully translate their landscapes.
