Land of Tomorrow is pleased to announce the grand opening of its Louisville location with two shows – Louisville is the Land of Tomorrow and a solo show of the works of Mike McKay. Louisville is the Land of Tomorrow is a group show using the name of the gallery as the cohesive springboard from which the artists’ works were chosen. Mike McKay will be presenting several of his paintings as well as his three-dimensional installations in a solo show at the gallery. The exhibitions will open on the 14th of October with a private viewing and will run through the 19th of November.
These two shows will open simultaneously to introduce the gallery to the Louisville art scene. One can expect the exhibition to be a full sensory experience including music, performance, video, installation, a pop-up screen printer, and much more. Many works will be available for purchase in the shop including artist editions, LOT paraphernalia, t-shirts, and a variety of other items.
On the night of the opening, there will be a gala that will include an all night diner serving locally sourced bar-b-q in a retro setting, live entertainment including Judexxx and LOT’s resident DJ, the Chaotic Good, as well as other exciting music and art entertainment.
