The Cards held on to beat a tough Florida State basketball team in over time today. The final score was 69-59.

Today's contest was a tough match -- both teams walked into the Yum Center undefeated. FSU, though small in numbers (there were only seven players that dressed for today's game), came out with a big bang. In the first half, the  Seminoles kept the Cards to a 28% field goal percentage. Things were a bit better in the second half, where the Cards made 35% of their field goals. After regulation time, the Cards were tied with Florida State at 54.

In five minutes overtime, the Cards were able to pull through with 15 points, while keeping the Seminoles to only 5 points.

The Cards were led by guard Shoni Schimmel with 21 points. Asia Taylor led the team in rebounds with 8.

The Women's Basketball team continues to be undefeated this season with a record of 6-0. The Cards will play two away games before returning to the Yum Center on December 3rd against Missouri State.

    About Adam Creech

I am a local photographer with a love for sports and music. Sometimes, I even like both at the same time. I absolutely love the University of Louisville, and for the past year and a half, I have been interning with the Social Media Department as a photographer. I love it. Other things I love: Manual transmissions, Coca Cola, Taylor Swift, pineapples, Instagram, Zucchini bread, fluffy dogs, and acoustic guitars.
