On Election Day (Tuesday, November 7, 2006), children through 8th grade will be able to go to selected polling locations across Jefferson County with their parents and guardians to cast their own "kids voting" ballots for Third District U.S. Representative, Kentucky Supreme Court Judge and Mayor of Louisville Metro.
The results of the Kids Voting Election will be reported after the polls close on Election Day.
Nearly 100 sites are being considered for Kids Voting and will be located in or near the regular adult polling locations across Jefferson County. Local volunteer organizations and businesses will staff the Kids Voting sites. The complete list will be on the Kids Voting Web site prior to the election at www.kidsvotinglouisville.org
This year’s corporate sponsors include BellSouth; Central Bank of Jefferson County; Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare; and the Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs law firm.
