
With just a day off in between games, the Wildcats are primed and ready to take on Loyola today at Rupp in preparation for their upcoming match up against Louisville. Kentucky wowed at home Tuesday; 82-50 over Samford. Jones was out with an injured finger, yet 4 of the 5 starters posted double digit points for the night, Lamb leading the way with 26. Miller started the game, much to the pleasure of fans.
Today will be another tune-up for Kentucky as many in the Bluegrass look to December 31 and the annual rivalry between Louisville and Kentucky, this year in Rupp. Loyola comes to Lexington with a 9-2 record and off a 10 point loss to St. Bonaventure. The Cats may look at this game as am easy win, yet should not underestimate the four players that put up double digits, including Dylor Cormier and his 16.8ppg, and Erik Etherly who averages 12.4ppg and leads the Greyhounds in rebounds with near 8 per game and a 52.1% field goal percentage.
Students are on Christmas break and Lexington will no doubt be ready for the mid-day match up between the Cats and Greyhounds. This is the last game before the Christmas break and will surely give the Wildcats something to ponder. Loyola is excited as Kentucky matches the highest ranked team faced.
