Saturday night's show features bluegrass, alternative country, and Americana music. Hot bluegrass
pickin' shapes the first hour with Hickory Vaught & Friends on the bill with Amos Hopkins & Friends.
Hickory is a Louisville native who has been playing professionally since he was 16, and he's certainly
refined his chops over the years. Amos Hopkins is a Cincinnati native who spent several years in Alaska
and has recently moved to Louisville bringing with him an extraordinary talent as a highly talented multi-instrumentalist, singer and writer. In his career he has played at various high profile venues including The
New Orleans Jazz Festival, The Alaska State Folk Festival, TV/radio/theatre engagements, and has won various competitions for the fiddle and other instruments.
The second show picks up on the alternative country and Americana genres and brings to the front porch
Sean Hopkins (lead singer with rock band Dallas Alice) and country artist George Chappell. Sean is a strong
vocalist, picker and writer who delivers riveting performances in an Americana style. Many will remember George Chappell from the 70s as the lead man with Cowboy George and the Beer Drinkin' Rodeo Band. Since those days George has continued to refine his style as a writer and singer whose music catches the ear with its soulful lyrics and lovely melodies.
