The Kentucky Center is pleased to announce the addition of Joy Yudofsky Behr, Mary Stone and P. Richard "Rick" Anderson, Jr., to The Kentucky Center's Board of Directors. All appointments, which were made by Governor Ernie Fletcher, shall run from now until April 2009.
Joy Yudofsky Behr, President of Yudofsky Furniture, replaces Madeline M. Abramson, whose term has expired. She received her B. A. in Biology and Chemistry from Yeshiva University. Her civic and charitable activities include being a trustee for the Kentucky Opera and sitting on the boards for the Woman's Club of Louisville and the National Council of Jewish Women.
P. Richard "Rick" Anderson, Jr. is an attorney for Greenbaum Doll & McDonald. He replaces Beth Paxton Klein, whose term has expired. He received his B. S. in Political Science from the University of Maryland and his J. D. from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William & Mary. Mr. Anderson is currently chair of the 2005 Louisville Metro United Way Campaign and chairman of the Greater Louisville Fund for the Arts, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Kentucky Opera and Greater Louisville Inc (Chamber of Commerce).
Mary Stone, a retired business owner, replaces William B. Yarmuth, whose term has expired. She received her B. A. in Liberal Arts from Ursuline College. Mrs. Stone is currently a member (and former president) of the Kentucky Museum of Arts & Crafts, the Kentucky Derby Museum, Women 4 Women and the Louisville Deaf & Oral School. She is also the chair of the Family Learning Center at Churchill Downs.
In addition, Governor Fletcher has reappointed Robert E. Gable to the Board of Directors. His term will also expire in April 2009.
