    Friday/Saturday Craft Beer Tent: On Fridays and Saturdays, visit the Craft Beer Tent on the North Terrace patio and sample such selections as Country Boy, Johnny Appleseed, Kentucky Ale Kolsch, Land Shark, Shock Top, Sierra Nevada, Sweetwater and Woodchuck Hard Cider.

    Wednesday WINS-day Challenge: presented by Malone’s and Daily Racing Form, this handicapping contest requires entrants to place a mythical $2 win and place wager on Keeneland races 3 through 8 and offers a guaranteed pool of $2,500. The contest occurs at Wagering Central every Wednesday during the meet and requires a $10 entry fee. First 200 participants receive a free Daily Racing Form and a coupon for a free appetizer at Malone’s.

    October 9 - Make-A-Wish Day: In support of the Make A Wish Foundation, Keeneland and area Thoroughbred farms will team to give nine children and their families a race day VIP experience that includes inclusion in the post-race trophy presentation.

    October 10 – College Scholarship Day: College students have a chance win a $1,000 scholarship and other prizes. Students with college ID will be admitted free and full-time students can register in the North Terrace to win one of ten $1,000 scholarships and prizes from local vendors after each race.

    October 15 - Wear Red Day: National Wear Red Day isn’t until February, but Keeneland is taking this day in October to bring awareness to heart disease in women. The American Heart Association will give heart pins to the first 3,000 fans through the gates and fans are asked to wear red to show their support.

    October 19 - Heroes Day:  All military, police officers, firefighters, EMTs and their families will receive free general admission and access to reserved Grandstand seating.

    October 24 - See Blue Day: UK students, alumni and faculty receive free general admission and access to reserved Grandstand seating with their IDs. A special Lextran shuttle will pick up at Wildcat Plaza on UK’s campus.

    October 25 (closing day) - Fan Appreciation Day: Keeneland is famous for its bread pudding. So if you haven’t tried it, make sure you stop by the North Terrace for a free sample this day.

    Keeneland is located at 4201 Versailles Road in Lexington, Ky. Live racing runs Wednesdays through Sundays. Gates open at 11 a.m. with the first daily post at 1:05 p.m. Admission is $5 and children 12 and under are free. Plenty of free parking is available onsite with shuttles from many lots. Preferred parking is $5 and valet parking is $10. Tailgating is available on The Hill next to the Keene Barn and Entertainment Center (enter at Gate 1 and follow signs).
