Take everything you assumed Katy Perry would be in concert and throw it out the window. She was exactly the opposite I had imagined her to be in concert, but in the best way possible. I was on my feet singing along to every word from the moment she burst onto stage in a light show spectacular.
She danced, sang, and laughed her way into the hearts of all those who were in attendance at the KFC Yum! Center last night. From the light shows, to aerial acts, and everything in between Katy and her team brought it to the stage last night. Assisted by an incredibly talented group of 10 dancers she stole the stage.
She had the crowd singing along to some of her greatest hits including Roar, Dark Horse, and she closed the show with Firework (complete with actual fireworks). Besides the obvious fact that she transformed the stage at the KFC Yum! Center to an out of this world spectacle; she really impressed me with her stage presence. From interacting with the crowd, to taking selfies with her fans, and even bringing three scantily clad men on stage to give them a bucket of KFC she worked her audience last night. It was more than just the music and the fun of singing along it was an experience that I'll never forget. If you've not had a chance to check Katy out on a tour I would highly recommend doing so, and if you haven't attended a concert at the KFC Yum! Center I'd definitely recommend adding that to your bucket list as well.
