Just Creations is now accepting applications for its Trade Ambassador Program for the 2012-2013 school year. The program is open to high school Juniors in the Louisville area, and five will be selected from the applicants as participants of the program, which won an award for the Best Public Education Program in 2010 from the Fair Trade Federation.

Participants of the program will volunteer in the Frankfort Avenue storefront, give a presentation on Fair Trade issues to their school, and attend Fair Trade education sessions. Participants will also take trips to Chicago and Madison, WI to visit other Fair Trade organizations. Former participants have since worked to promote Fair Trade items in other stores and writing proposals at their chosen colleges.

Reaching its 22nd year of business, Just Creations works to promote Fair Trade sales in handmade goods, such as dishware, purses, jewelry, nativity scenes, and more. Since 2002, they have been a member of the Fair Trade Federation. Just Creations is a non-profit store in St. Matthews, located at 2722 Frankfort Avenue. For more information about submitting an application, contact Just Creations at 502-897-7319 or email info@justcreations.org
