Hailed by The New York Times as “spectacular,” this dynamic group from Taiwan performs percussion music from every corner of the world. Eleven talented percussionists (and one composer in residence) demonstrate remarkable virtuosity and boundless energy in playing Western percussion instruments as well as Chinese gong-drum music.
JPG has toured throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas, coming to Louisville for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Acclaim has come from both sides of the globe. The New York Times reported, “The Ju Percussion Group... has eager, active and highly competent performers.” And the (Taiwan) China Post said, “A fascinating performance by the Ju Percussion Group...left the audience cheering non-stop.”
