    Saturday, August 7, 2010, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Kentucky Region will host its 5th annual Walk For Wishes, and it's not too late to sign up! Register Saturday morning at 7:15 a.m.

    Taking place in Lexington, on the spacious grounds of the Keeneland Racetrack, 4201 Versailles Raod, participants will either walk 2k at 8 a.m. or run 5k at 8:30 a.m.  Everyone is invited to stay for the Kids Fun Run at 9:30 a.m., Kids Fun Zone from 9:30-10:30 a.m., and a vendor fair with activities for all ages.

    Registration is $25 for adults 18 and older, an children 17 and under are free. All participants will receive a Walk For Wishes t-shirt.

    "We are depending on revenues generated from our Walk For Wishes to help us grant the wishes of 150 kids battling life-threatening medical conditions throughout Kentucky including children in the Bluegrass area," remarked Executive Director Dan Koett. "It's not too late to register and help bring our mission to life. We will be accepting on-site registrations Saturday morning."

    The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions to "enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy." The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Kentucky Region has fulfilled the individual wishes of 769 local children since it was founded in 2001.
