On Saturday, February 14 at 8pm at the Louisville Palace, Principal Pops Conductor Bob Bernhardt will lead the Louisville Orchestra in a concert perfectly suited for Valentine’s Day.
The program will start with Johann Strauss, Jr.’s Wine, Women and Song. The Orchestra will tug at your heart strings with Sir Edward Elgar’s Salut d’amour, op. 12 (Love’s Greeting) followed by Johann Strauss, Jr.’s Champagne Polka and Carl Jenkins’ “Diamond Music” from Palladio. The first half of the program will end with the ever popular Bolero by Maurice Ravel.
After Bernhardt warms the crowd with wine, women and song, legendary crooner Jack Jones will warm hearts with his disarming smile, effortlessly engaging wit, and a vocal style that stands alone. Jack Jones is one of the greatest singers ranking with luminaries such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Mel Tormé. A double Grammy Award®-winner, Jones performs around the globe to sold-out audiences in venues ranging from jazz clubs to the London Palladium. From the thematic threads of his shows to his ability to make the largest halls intimate, Jack Jones is the very definition of a complete entertainer.
