Think back to the age of radio, before televisions and
Hi-Tech existed. The number one source of information, news and
entertainment; radio shows like "The Howdy Doody Show" and "Amos n'
Andy" streamed over the airwaves every night. Relive those days as
Broadway At Iroquois presents, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
on stage at the Kentucky Center, Bomhard Theater. Inspired by the
classic film, this radio play is performed as a 1940's live radio
broadcast for a studio audience. As the theater transforms into WBFR in
New York City, the story of Bedford Falls, George Bailey, and the angel
that saves his life is told. With Foley sound effects, a cast of actors
performing dozens of characters, and the occasional product jingle, this
live radio play is a fun celebration of yester-year.
Directed by Jon Huffman, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio
Play features local actors Abigail and Greg Maupin (La Petomane Theater
Ensemble), Tyler Bliss, Melissa Kinney Shepherd, Melissa Combs and will
also include special guest appearances from WAVE 3 TV news personalities
including Bob Domine, Cindi Sullivan, and David McArthur, to name a few;
as a special fundraising effort for the Salvation Army and their Angel
Tree Program.
